Causes We Support

Backpack Buddha is a socially conscious company committed to supporting livelihoods, preserving ancient crafts, helping underprivileged students, promoting sustainable production and environmental conservation, and raising awareness about mental health.

We began our journey in Nepal, during the devastating 2015 earthquake, when our founder, a backpacker, decided to stay and help in any way he could. He was moved by the kindness and resilience of the Nepali people, despite the immense poverty he witnessed. He also saw the importance of preserving the ancient crafts and traditions of the country, many of which were in danger of being lost.
